What is Through the Biblioscope?

Hello, friends! What the heck is this, you are wondering? Let me explain.

For several years I've been writing short reviews of the books I've been reading (and occasionally of movies or television shows I've watched). These reviews go into my bi-monthly contributions to ANZAPA, the Australian and New Zealand Amateur Publishing Association, which has a small group of members (less than 30).

I also talk about books, movies and TV on the regular podcast I co-host with Perry Middlemiss. But not everyone has time and opportunity to listen to the podcast. So I've decided to try distributing my thoughts on books and media to a rather wider audience through a (hopefully) regular newsletter. I plan to bring it out at least once, hopefully twice each month. Sometimes it will contain reviews of material I've only just read or seen; sometimes it will feature older reviews which I think remain worthy of being read. I'm imagining only two or three reviews per edition, assuming that you won't want to spend too much time on them.
